Day 15: Carroll College and

Today we woke up early to go down to Waukesha and visit Carroll College, a small private liberal arts college. We learned that Carroll College is the oldest colleges in Wisconsin, and that it bought some houses in the neighborhood to use as offices and classrooms. Some of the most popular majors were nursing, and physical therapy.

We originally had plans to go hiking and then go to the beach after the college visit. However, because we had such a busy weekend, Marissa was feeling under the weather and we went back home afterwards. While Marissa took a well-earned nap, we stayed up and took care of some household errands that we couldn't get done over the weekend: writing the blog, recording the budget, and recording videos.

After Marissa woke up, we decided to go to the beach after all for about an hour. While Joan and Lucinda decided not to go swimming, Rebecca and Emily spent the entire time in the water; Marissa just relaxed on the shore.

When we came home, we cleaned the house and got started on dinner. We made Arroz con Gandules (Rice with Pigeon Peas), and Oven-Baked Drumsticks. We decided that since we spent so much time with each other on the weekend, we would eat in the living room while watching 16 Candles.

Joan and Emily are taking the recycling and garbage out so we don't get bugs!  but it is so dark on the property they need to use the headlamps!
